The 33-year-old actress took to Instagram to share photos of her posing in what appears to be a bathroom while wearing a mustard yellow knit sweater and classic white pants, styling her bangs and fringe to perfectly frame her face in every image.
Each picture featured only the Emily in Paris star striking various poses. One with both hands on her hips, another with one hand on her hip and the opposite arm resting on her leg, while the last image showed her gazing off to the side. In the background of the snaps, green tiles and seafoam green wallpaper are separated only by more tiles with intricate flower designs and old-timey photos hanging on the wall. "Cottage core…" Collins captioned the post. "every core fits you ," one fan gushed. Another wrote, "looove that cozy sweater 👌🏻." You may be asking yourself, "What exactly is cottage core?" Architectural Digest spoke with Davina Ogilvie, founder of the Wovn Home–a start-up that makes custom window treatments–who provided a detailed breakdown. “As a concept, it embraces a simpler, sustainable existence that is more harmonious with nature. Aesthetically, it’s a nod to the traditional English countryside style, romantic and nostalgic," Ogilvie said of what she deems cottage core.
A few days ago, Collins shared a behind-the-scenes look at her wardrobe from her titular role in the series. In the video, Collins panned the camera around the room, showing off the endless amounts of clothes that Emily wore in season 3.
"One of my absolute favorite parts of every season is stepping back into Emily’s closet! Love seeing you all recreate her S3 looks…" she wrote in the caption.
While her character's aesthetic isn't necessarily cottage core, we still love all of the looks from Season 3!
